Simple ways to decorate this holiday season

As Christmas draws near, it’s always fun to see how we all decorate and celebrate this special occasion. You can’t help but open Facebook and see several of your friends proudly posting their Christmas tree. Interesting how much this simple thing can reflect our personality’s and taste. As Designers we are always on the hunt for an unconventional way to decorate our space. How can you make Christmas modern? Well this year at Area3 we forgo the traditional 3D live or fake green spruce, we didn’t even go white (shocking I know)………… Instead we opted for a red outline on our white board constructed of red shiny ornaments. Next year – who knows? In the meantime we have rounded up a few Christmas ornaments and decorations that might add some fun to your space. We have a few that offer a little quirky, organic and even glamorous ideas. Locally you will find 18 Karat has an array of frosted ball ornaments designed by an Emily Carr graduate Zoe Garred available in copper, steel or clear. CB2 offers many modern options like their shiny opaque ornaments, triangle hanging tree and multiple use wire wreath. Still looking for a Christmas gift for a designer on your list? How about these Pantone ornaments (so fun)! Design Milk rounds out our list with their own 20 top favorites all unique and interesting. Do you have any ideas or suggestions, we would love to hear from you! #area3holiday
